Principal

 

Karen Krygowski Bruno is the President and Founder of Digital Conduit and the Technology Ball. She coordinates social events to build relationships between IT executives and technology providers. Through the Technology Ball “Family,” she supports STEM education, coordinating mentorships and scholarships for students at the University of Texas at Dallas.

Karen also launched Tech CxO LaunchPad, where C-Level executives from the Technology Ball community teach a comprehensive leadership program. This SMU Continuing and Professional Education Certificate Program provides layered leadership training for aspiring C-Suite professionals.

Before Digital Conduit, Karen spent eight years at Aidmatrix, a nonprofit global supply-chain provider. As Vice President of Development, she coordinated corporate fundraising and initiated the Digital Ball technology fundraising event. She holds a BA in East Asian Studies with a concentration in business and economics from Vanderbilt University.

Karen enjoys cooking, traveling, foreign languages, and wine tasting. She resides in Southern California with her husband Ron, their Pomeranian Gidget, and calico cat Sedona. Digital Conduit serves as a link between technology leaders and the tech community through unique social gatherings that foster relationships and create business opportunities.

Tricia Shevlin specializes in creating CIO ecosystems and aiding companies in making better technology decisions. She excels in driving transformational initiatives through direct and channel sales, helping companies accelerate sales, outperform competitors, and boost revenue. Her focus is on aligning business goals with technology strategies to deliver integrated solutions.

Tricia’s fascination with technology began in the 90s when cellular communications transformed business operations. Starting her career at AT&T in 1997, she played a key role in launching the first digital network. This experience laid the groundwork for her career in helping companies solve business challenges with the latest technology and services. Today, she simplifies technology decisions and invests in STEM students in local communities.

Over her career, Tricia has built senior executive relationships and fostered channels for several growing Texas technology companies focused on telecommunications and IoT. In 2005, she joined Advantix, where she led sales, channel development, and marketing in the communications lifecycle management industry. As Vice President of Sales at THINaër, she developed and directed global sales for IoT solutions.

Tricia graduated from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas, with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and an MBA in Marketing. Known for her outgoing Texas personality and passion for change, she is a dedicated volunteer and mentor, with a heart for serving others and building channel communities that address business challenges with new technology.

Larissa Paap

Larissa Paap

Vice President of Projects

Larissa is the VP of Projects at Tech Allies, where she connects IT executives with tech providers and facilitates student mentorships enhancing the bridge between academia and industry. Her responsibilities extend to driving social media strategy and coordinating events for a network of over 130 C-level technology experts.

In addition to her role at Tech Allies, Larissa is a seasoned Realtor and Real Estate Investor at Pink Owl Realty Group. Her expertise includes property marketing, client relations, and project planning for home renovations. Previously, Larissa spent over a decade at Charles Schwab, where she managed complex retirement plan conversions and client relationships as a Project Manager. Her work involved detailed data analysis, project management, and the development of operational protocols.

Larissa is based in Austin and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas State University. Outside of work, Larissa finds joy in cheering on her 3 kids at their sporting events, exploring new destinations and doing puzzles. Her passion for both her career and family fuels her drive to excel in all aspects of her life.

Amanda Devan

Amanda Devan

Vice President of Integrated Marketing and Events

Amanda Devan is an accomplished marketing strategist, event manager and writer from Weatherford, Texas. Amanda worked as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for RIDE TV, an internationally distributed television network, for seven years before shifting into the world of print media. She served as Editor for two separate publications, The Cutting Horse Chatter and Western Horseman, reaching hundreds of thousands of readers around the country each month. Fractional work led Amanda to the Tech Allies community and reignited her passion for integrated marketing strategy and event production. Amanda was inducted into COWGIRL Magazine’s COWGIRL 30 Under 30 in 2021, the same year her first son was born. Amanda is a full-time mother to two toddler sons, Jameson (3) and Boston (1). Her family now resides in east Texas under the Pine Curtain. When she isn’t working or chasing babies, her favorite pass-times are watching Fightin’ Texas Aggie football and working on her family’s cattle ranch. Amanda is looking forward to working with the Tech Allies community to create a cohesive and valuable brand and produce exciting events that will help raise significant contributions for our non-profit partners.
